Varies by length, height, board grade and acoustic spec. We quote per linear metre or per wall in writing after a site visit, with the board spec named so you know what you're getting.

How long does it take to build a stud wall?

A standard internal stud wall in an average room — typically 1–2 days framed and boarded, plus a day for tape-and-joint. Acoustic and fire-rated walls take longer due to the build-up.

Can you fit fire doors as part of a partition?

Yes — fire doors, intumescent strips and the right ironmongery, fitted to the partition spec for building control sign-off.

Is dry wall as soundproof as a brick wall?

A well-specified acoustic stud wall (double board, resilient bar, mineral wool fill) outperforms a single-skin brick wall for airborne sound. The detail is what matters, not the material alone.

Can I hang heavy items like a TV on a stud wall?

Do you do moisture-resistant board for bathrooms?

Yes — green-faced moisture-resistant board (or full tile-backer board behind shower areas), with full tanking system before tiling on wet walls.

Can dry wall replace structural masonry walls?

No — load-bearing walls need structural design and either steel beams to take the load, or full masonry replacement. We can do the structural work alongside the dry wall.

Do you handle the electrical and plumbing first-fix?

We coordinate with your electrician and plumber, or bring in our own — first fix has to be in before we close the wall.
